Installing Action Alert

Device Install Only
Plug Action Alert into an available USB port. Depending on your settings and version, Windows should auto-detect the new hardware and display one of the option screens as follows:

Select "Install Action Alert." Or “Open Folder” Simply follow the on-screen instructions, to continue the install process.

Select “Open Folder to view files” and double click on the Action Alert setup icon. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue the install process.

If you do not see one of the above options after plugging Action Alert into an available USB port, click on the link below to begin the installation process.

Anti-virus note:
If you receive a prompt from your anti-virus program blocking the installation of Action Alert, please make the appropriate selection to allow the anti-virus to unblock Action Alert.

When prompted; enter your email address, choose a password and enter the activation code included with your Action Alert.

Click on box to agree to the terms of the license agreement and select Continue.

You sill see a screen displayed that tells you the installation is complete:

Other installation Notes:

An Action Alert may be installed and used for protecting kids on only one computer at a time. However, Action Alert may provide protection for multiple users of that computer. You may install the Action Alert Viewer on as many computers as you like. This allows you to view the activity of the protected computer, from a different one. See the Viewing from a different PC topic for details.

If you remove Action Alert from the computer it is installed on and plug it into another computer, only the Action Alert Viewer can be installed on the new computer. In order to use the Action Alert on a different computer, you must first uninstall the key from the computer it is currently installed on while the key is still plugged in. Then you may install it on a new one using the same initial installation operation. *Be aware that uninstalling Action Alert from a computer will reset it, and result in the deletion of all recorded activity on that key.
